PTFE Encapsulated Orings Discription:
SUNPASS FEP Encapsulated O-rings are constructed with an elastomer core surrounded by a seamless shell of modified PTFE. The core, crafted from FKM or VMQ (silicone), ensures uniform tension at the sealing interface. The casing, made of FEP (fluorinated ethylene propylene), provides a dependable seal and robust protection against corrosive substances. These encapsulated O-rings are intended for static use only, as any motion or abrasive substances could damage the casing. Standard O-rings can be compromised by harsh chemicals or severe temperature extremes, potentially leading to leaks.
