Fiberglass Tape Description:
SunPass Texturized fiberglass tape is fabricated from high quality texturized C glass or E glass fiber yarns that will not burn and will withstand continuous exposure to temperatures of 1000°F / 520°C. It resists most acids and alkalis and is unaffected by most bleaches and solvents. It is an excellent substitute for asbestos tape.
Texturized fiberglass tape with copper wire, nickel wire or stainless wire are also available.
is manufactured from uniformed textured filaments of high bulk type glass fibre yarns resistant to 550°C in optimum conditions.They differ from other glass fibre tapes in that they are extra soft, thick, and pliable with excellent thermal insulation properties.Glass fibres are inorganic, sterile, and incombustible. They are suitable for temperatures up to 550°C and have a low thermal conductivity of circa 0.05W/mk.Some of the warp yards are removed from a webbing to create a ladder tape. The spaces created in so doing allow the tape to be positioned securely over studs that secure oven and boiler plates.
Fiberglass Tape Application:
All types of thermal insulation and heat protection provide protection of industrial wires, cables, hoses, tube and pipe and also provide thermal insulation and personnel protection. Also used as a gasket or seal.
